Western Australia and INTO partner on pathways

Pathway provider INTO University Partnerships will establish a college at the University of Western Australia’s Perth campus.

The new pathway school – UWA College – will begin enrolling students from June 2022.

“The University of Western Australia looks forward to working with experienced international provider INTO to strengthen our international pathway programs and the quality of the educational experience for our future international students,” said UWA vice-chancellor Amit Chakma.

Established in 1911 and opening in 1913, UWA is one of Australia’s oldest universities and a member of the prestigious Group of Eight.

The partnership will mark INTO’s first entry into Australia, and it hopes its “extensive global recruitment network and exceptional student support credentials” will help students transition to UWA’s degree courses “with confidence”.

“We are absolutely delighted to be partnering with The University of Western Australia, a university with a powerful purpose, a fantastic academic reputation and a vibrant student experience,” said INTO CEO Olivia Streatfeild.

“We are looking forward to innovating together with UWA”

“We are looking forward to innovating together with UWA to support our students to achieve every success.”

The partners anticipate that INTO’s global recruitment network will complement UWA’s existing network to increase international pathway enrolments and further expand global reach.

A range of foundation and diploma programs will feature tailored and integrated learning experiences at the college.

The pathway provider recently announced a partnership with AI platform Cialfo to connect with its 250,000 international students, and also penned an agreement with the University of Arizona in the US in 2020.

Each year INTO helps as many as 15,000 students from more than 90 countries to study at universities overseas.
